Well met, friend!
I’m Megan Roach-Wimer, a recent graphic design graduate of JCCC.
As a local KC native, I am deeply connected and prideful of my city and community.
I’m lucky to hold the title “mama” as well as graphic designer and share in the joys of parenthood with my partner Ben.
Together, we reside in Overland Park along with our two dogs, whom I talk of often, Jude and Teemo.
As a family, we love to go on adventures, either camping or hitting the water in our kayaks. When I need some time to myself, you can find me in the garden, tending to my houseplants, baking, or reading.
After working for several years in the marketing industry, self-teaching myself design skills to get by, I realized, this is it. This is what I want to do.
The journey was not easy! I worked full-time and took a full schedule of classes. Through the pandemic, a pregnancy, and an awesome opportunity to grow in my field, I completed the Graphic Design program at JCCC and received my degree.
I believe my experience in marketing with my degree helps to give me a strategic edge as I design for clients.
I know, for clients, there must be a purpose behind design, a goal to be obtained. My hope is I can provide that insight, along with my skills in design to create purposeful brand messaging.
