Deeply Rooted

Well met, friend!

I’m Megan Roach-Wimer, a Senior Brand & Experience Designer based in Overland Park, Kansas.

I’m a Kansas City native with a deep love for this city, the people who make it home, and the places that make it feel like one. Outside of design, I’m usually somewhere with my family, tending to my ever-growing collection of houseplants, planning our next camping adventure, getting out on the water, baking something, or getting lost in a good book.

I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by things that make me curious—and I think that curiosity follows me into my work.

& Locally Grown

My career actually started in marketing, long before I officially called myself a designer. I spent years learning how brands connect with people, how audiences respond to messaging, and how creative work can support a larger business goal. Along the way, I realized that the part I loved most was bringing those ideas to life visually.

So I went back to school for graphic design.

I worked full-time while taking a full course load, eventually earning my Graphic Design degree from Johnson County Community College. That experience shaped the way I approach design today: I don’t see design and marketing as separate disciplines.

I believe good creative should have a purpose behind it. It should communicate something, make someone feel something, solve a problem, or help move an idea forward.

My goal is to bring together strategy, storytelling, and design to create work that feels thoughtful, useful, and distinctly its own.

Roamer by Nature

I’m drawn to new places, new ideas, and the little details that make something feel like it belongs. I think that’s part of what makes me a designer: I’m always looking, asking questions, noticing connections, and wondering how something could work a little better.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me somewhere outside, surrounded by plants, or planning where we’re going next.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here.
